While at ArtStir Denver this past May, I had the pleasure of meeting a whole bunch of fine folks. One gentleman in particular, Nathan, was inspired by my paintings. So inspired, he commissioned K.Carpenter Art to produce a one of a kind for him. Nathan has a passion for the yin yang and based on that, he and I discussed some ideas for his new painting. The challenge was to create a meditating Buddha with yin yang thought bubbles, yin yang clouds and some sort of landscape all on a piece of 4in x 4in x 1in clear acrylic. After a few minutes, hours and days of sketching, cutting stencils, shakin’ em up and spraying, the finished painting was set to deliver. Of course, not without a photo shoot done first.
